Wait, Walmart to increase prices!?

Ok so, Walmart CFO (Brett Biggs), yes you can’t control what’s happening with this trade war between the US and China. Now when you say, “increased tariffs will lead to increased prices for customers,” what does this mean for me a college student?

Will the FREE 24 hour shipping on over 200,000 goods actually be sustainable?

Was this announcement for free shipping at a great time?

Will the scheme where you match a Walmart good with that from another store to receive it for the lowest price still exist?

I am asking because I need my cheap, cheap deals Mr CFO. Walmart is the hub for good deals!

I guess Lloyd Blankfein former CEO of Goldman Sachs might be right about locals “paying a bit more than now.” My question is if Costco has announced that it will not be affected by this, then why will Walmart be affected?

Could this all come down to timing, as Walmart has invested intensely on technology for shipping and more innovative methods, as they compete with Amazon?

Did Walmart not prepare well ahead when the talk for tariffs began?

Should the US start thinking of a recession approaching soon, with these tariffs being one of the causes to push start?

Hold tight and see what happens to the prices of goods from our beloved Walmart.
